Objectives / Objectifs
The objective of this project is to improve the quality of living of vulnerable orphans, people living with AIDS, aged people, widow/widowers and those caring for orphans in Shinyanga.
This project will meet these objectives by providing care and support to vulnerable people (people living with AIDS, orphans and aged people). This includes treatment of opportunistic infections, supplementary feeding of orphans and training seminars on stigma/discrimination and income generating activities. Specifically, the main activities include:
- Providing medical care and support to 100 children living with HIV/AIDS
- Distribution of supplementary feeding to 320 orphans and 100 orphans living with HIV/AIDS
- Conducting Home Based Care and income generating activity seminars
- Extending capacity and improving Home Based Care services
- Conducting HIV/AIDS stigma and discrimination training to 120 village workers and 90 pastors
